Dr. Lee is an FAA authorized AME (Aviation Medical Examiner). Every pilot that flies needs a medical certificate to legally and safely operate an aircraft in the skies above the United States. Medical certificates can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class. All commercial flights (any flight where the pilot is paid) in the USA require at least a 2nd class medical certificate. Every airline transport pilot (ATP) requires a 1st class medical certificate. FAA regulations are published on the internet for everyone to review.
